Our story

An idea born in 2023

Rotation Horlogère was founded online in 2023 with a simple idea: to offer watch enthusiasts storage, winding and protection solutions that strike a genuine balance between quality, functionality and price.

At the time, the market seemed divided between entry-level accessories whose specifications were sometimes unclear and major houses whose prices could be difficult to justify in relation to the product itself. A significant share of the price sometimes appeared to reflect the name, positioning or distribution network rather than the quality of the winder, watch box or safe alone.

Our aim has never been to offer the cheapest products. We set out to build a fairer alternative: selecting genuinely useful features, refining the finishes and supporting each customer, while keeping the price consistent with the product’s value.

Accessible watch winders without compromising on what matters

Rotation Horlogère first grew around automatic watch winders and watch boxes. We looked for models that met practical needs: keeping a watch ready to wear, adapting turns per day and direction to the movement, remaining discreet enough for a bedroom or office, and fitting naturally into an interior.

This approach led us to offer several levels of finish and capacity, from a single-watch winder to cabinets holding several dozen watches. A customer seeking a straightforward solution for a first automatic watch should not be directed toward the same product as a collector with several movements or major complications.

The right choice is therefore not necessarily the most expensive model. It is the one that genuinely suits the watch, the collection and its owner’s daily use.

From storage to protecting major collections

Our customers’ requests gradually went beyond the watch winder itself. Some wanted greater capacity, specific finishes or a solution combining automatic winding, storage and physical protection.

We therefore developed a range of safes with integrated watch winders, followed by customisable projects: choice of leather or exterior finish, interior colour, number of winders, drawers, lighting, dimensions and security level.

This is where the gap between the price of the product and the price of the brand can be greatest. Some safes from international houses exceed €40,000 with an entry-level security certification. Depending on the project, Rotation Horlogère can offer configurations incorporating optional EN 1143-1 Grade III certification for around €20,000, depending on the dimensions, finishes and equipment selected.

These configurations are not interchangeable and must always be compared according to certification, capacity, weight, winders and level of customisation. They nevertheless illustrate our philosophy: allocating the budget to security, materials, features and support rather than to the prestige of a name alone.

An openly international selection

Rotation Horlogère is a French brand, but we do not claim that our entire catalogue is made in France. Depending on the collection, our partners and manufacturers are located in France, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Japan or China.

We prefer to be transparent about this organisation. Our role is to select products and workshops according to their expertise, verify stated specifications, develop certain configurations and support each customer before and after their order.

For custom projects, we act as the link between the collector and the workshop: assessing the request, choosing materials, validating dimensions, configuring the winders, organising production and preparing delivery.

A direct relationship with collectors

Since the first orders, conversations with our customers have shaped Rotation Horlogère. Their questions about TPD settings, noise levels, dimensions, delivery and customisation have helped us improve our selection and develop new solutions.

That relationship continues after the order. If a problem arises, our France-based customer service team can carry out an initial remote diagnosis, provide instructions, send a replacement part or arrange an appropriate intervention.

Rotation Horlogère now supports more than 1,000 customers in France and internationally, from a first single-watch winder to safes designed for high-value collections.

A French house supported by RH GROUP

Since 2025, Rotation Horlogère has been operated by RH GROUP, a French company registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 940 697 816.

The structure has evolved, but the founding ambition remains the same: to offer a credible alternative to major houses, with products chosen for their genuine usefulness, fairer pricing and a knowledgeable contact available whenever a collector needs advice.
